Terry Fox Ride of Hope: Gravel, Heritage, and HeartNow in its third year, the Terry Fox Gravel Ride of Hope is Cycling PEI's signature fundraising event in support of the Terry Fox Foundation. The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the historic Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead in Orwell, PEI - a beautiful setting that captures the spirit of Island heritage. Riders can choose from multiple routes suited to a variety of abilities: Confederation Trail routes: Various distances (~10 to 35km) along wooded, peaceful trail sections. Suitable for riders of all ages and abilities; hybrid, gravel, or mountain bikes recommended. Multi-surface route (~70 km): A more challenging option combining the Confederation Trail, scenic heritage dirt roads, and asphalt. Gravel or mountain bike recommended. The event's fundraising goal is $10,000 for cancer research - a target that was exceeded in 2025. Riders can sign up as individuals or form a team. Donations from supporters who cannot ride are also warmly welcomed. Register at ride.terryfox.ca/128670, or visit cyclingpei.org/events/roh2026 for more information.
