Learn to Ride Program for Kids Aged 3-5 Years
Program Overview
This "Learn to Ride" program is designed to teach children aged 3-5 years the fundamentals of balancing on two wheels, accelerating their mastery of cycling. It is structured to foster confidence, motor skill development, and independence in riding. The program is intended primarily for daycare and kindergarten environments, delivered in 4 sessions.
Program Goals
Introduce and develop essential skills for bike riding (balance, coordination, confidence).
Incorporate a focus on safety, fun, and independence.
Create a positive and supportive environment that encourages learning and growth.
Encourage children to embrace cycling early in life and go on to become confident lifelong cyclists and Active Transportation users.
Structure of Sessions
Group sizes: 10-15 students per cohort.
Session Duration: 30-50 minutes per session (flexible)
Frequency: (4 sessions - ideally within a week)
Instructors: Each session delivered by two instructors (or one instructor and one assistant)
Equipment: Push bikes, helmets and protective gear provided
