CPEI WOMEN'S ROAD CYCLING PROGRAM

Calling all passionate road riders and those eager to roll for the first time!

We are excited to announce the Cycling PEI Women’s Road Cycling Program, providing supportive and encouraging environments where women riders of all levels can thrive.

From learning the basics to refining your skills, three streams are available to grow, build confidence, and create unforgettable moments on your bike:

  • Individual Mentorship

Thinking about road cycling, but need support to get going?

This free program offers 1-to-1 pairing with an experienced female cyclist, who will provide tips and company to support your first ride(s).

Don't have your own bike? No problem! Ask us about borrowing a "try it" bike.

To join this program as a trainee or as a mentor, or for more information, please contact Amy Hall: amyleehalls@gmail.com

  • Group Rides

Looking for experience with riding in a group?

Stratford Women's Road Ride is an established weekly group ride offered every Thursday, May through August, out of Ted's Bicycle Studio in Stratford PEI.

These rides focus on developing group riding skills in a friendly and supportive environment, with three different pace groups to suit beginners through to experienced riders. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with like-minded women who share your passion for cycling, fostering friendships and camaraderie along the way.

For more information, check out the CPEI Sanctioned Club Rides page (note that a CPEI Recreational membership is required).

  • Skills Clinics

Want to take your cycling skills to new heights?

In the 2024 season, Cycling PEI is offering introductory and advanced skills clinics for women riders. Clinics will focus on fundamentals of individual and group riding, road racing, and strategies to excel in competition.

These will be fun opportunities to “up your game” and increase your sense of safety and mastery on your bike. Stay tuned for dates (and subscribing to our monthly newsletter, the Hub & Spoke, is a great way to stay in the loop!)
