I bring over a decade of experience in high-performance sport as both an athlete and coach, with a background in competitive karate, where I represented Ireland internationally, and coaching experience in both karate and rowing. I’m also the founder and head instructor of Karate with Aoife, where I design and deliver programs for children, youth, and adults, mentor instructors, and lead community-based initiatives including workshops and events. Alongside my coaching work, I spent two years with Sport PEI as a Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) Administrative Coordinator, supporting governance, program delivery, and athlete development across four different sports. In my role with Cycling PEI, I’m excited to support athlete development, coach education, and strong, sustainable programming across the Cycling PEI community. I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone and working together to help Cycling PEI’s programs continue to grow. CPEI Welcomes New Board Members Thank you to everyone who joined us online for our Annual General Meeting on February 9th! We are pleased to welcome new members to the Cycling PEI Board Executive: Jason Ezeard has been elected as our new Treasurer. Jason brings great professional experience as a non-profit finance director, so we are in good hands! Jamie Whynacht has been elected as our new Vice President. An avid cyclist and business executive, Jamie also brings phenomenal background to our board, having been involved in leading and founding several PEI sport & recreation initiatives, including Go!PEI, Active Start, Triathlon PEI, Coaching PEI, Atlantic Sport Center and Swim PEI. Jason and Jamie join continuing board members Amy Hall (President), Karen Rose (Secretary) and Jean-Paul Arsenault (Director at Large). We would like to thank the outgoing board members Ellen Sherren, Tammy Wall and Sean Kelly for their years of service to and stewardship of Cycling PEI. Cycling PEI had a banner year in 2025!
