Cycling PEI is pleased to host Prince Edward Island’s 2nd Annual Gravel Ride of Hope, Sunday June 22, 2025 at 10am.
Following a very successful first year, the 2025 Ride offers a new opportunity to enjoy local heritage and great company in support of the Terry Fox Foundation and raising funds for cancer research. We welcome riders of all levels and abilities to join us!
Four routes of varying lengths will depart from the historic Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead:
11k - Confederation Trail: https://www.strava.com/routes/3358491447682093406 GPX file
20k - Confederation Trail: https://www.strava.com/routes/3358489100203025758 GPX file
34k - Confederation Trail: https://www.strava.com/routes/3358488863913463134 GPX file
70km Multi Surface: https://www.strava.com/routes/3358977736177816860 GPX file.
The multi-surface route consists of Confederation trail, scenic dirt roads, and asphalt. We highly recommend the use of a gravel bike for this route. Hybrid bikes are NOT recommended due to the challenging terrain of some dirt roads.
Participants and their supporters are also invited to enjoy the Macphail Homestead’s grounds and surrounding forest trails. The Homestead’s Tea Room will be open for anyone wishing to enjoy a delicious lunch after the ride (reservations recommended by emailing macphailhomestead@gmail.com).
This event’s fundraising goal is $5000.
