Cycling is an activity that promotes both physical and mental health, but bike rides also provide a fun, low-pressure social activity that people can enjoy together throughout their lives. By promoting cycling among seniors, we at Cycling PEI hope to spark new hobbies and new friendships.
Join us at a free event for seniors organized by Cycling PEI in partnership with Rising Tides E-bikes on Saturday, October 4th, starting from Red Island Cider at 101 Longworth Ave, Charlottetown.
A limited number (20) of e-bikes will be available for participants to borrow. Seniors are also welcome to bring their own e-bike or conventional bike to join in the ride. We’ll start with a short intro to e-bikes in the parking lot before riding the Confederation Trail up to Royalty Junction and back for some (optional but encouraged) post-ride social time at Red Island Cider.
Advance registration required: Please register online HERE, or contact Cycling PEI at info@cyclingpei.org or 902-368-4985 for assistance in reserving your spot!
Note that this event is open to those aged 60 or older. You must already know how to ride a conventional two-wheeled bike.
Rain date: Sunday, October 5th
This event is supported by the Seniors Secretariat of the Government of PEI.
